This app made me pray continuously

READ TIME: 1.5 minutes

Dear Reader,

For years, I’ve asked God for one word to guide my year.
2025’s word is: Prayer.

Why Prayer? Because, if I’m honest, prayer felt unnatural to prioritize.
It felt like a drag instead of a joy.

But why?
It’s the way to communicate with God;
to know Him more deeply;
to form a real relationship.
It’s the most powerful tool we got, and yet, there I was, not enjoying it and finding it hard to just… pray.

I wanted change.
Change in my desire to pray.
Change in the depth of my relationship with God.

And God said: I can only encourage that. Here’s your word: PRAYER

So far, I’ve read multiple Bible plans on prayer on YouVersion.

I finished Tim Keller’s book Prayer.

I even started a prayer group with my family—HUGE WIN!

Those were big steps, but I wasn’t “there” yet.

Then, I stumbled across something small but mighty—through a YouVersion plan:

The Prayminder app.

Let me just say: It’s great and simple.

Oh and by the way, I’m not sponsored.
They didn’t pay me to write this.
This is a genuine tip from me to you.

Also: it’s free.

Prayminder (https://prayminder.com/) is an app that lets you add prayer topics and then sends you notifications at times you choose.

Like I said, simple. But brilliant.

Every day, my phone buzzes—not because of a random app or a social media ping—but with a gentle reminder to pray for the people, projects, and dreams I’ve listed.

It has changed my brain.

Why?

Because I’m wired now to think of prayer.

Extremely helpful if you ask me. That notification points me to God each time.

So, if prayer has felt like a chore for you too, try it.

Add one or two topics.
Set a couple of reminders.
And pray multiple times a day.

Watch how the conversation with God opens up throughout your day.

I pray it blesses you as much as it blesses me. And let me know if it did!

Blessings,
